TEADIT OPEN HOUSE
In case you haven’t heard, here at Teadit North America we moved on to a bigger and better facility more suited to fit the needs of our growing business. This is an exciting new chapter for Teadit, N.A. so it was decided to throw an Open House event for all of our hard working employees, our customers so that they could see where their products were coming from and we also invited potential new clients to come and see what Teadit was all about. Vice President Steve Kura said, “We were really impressed with the turnout from our partner distributors who came from all over the U.S. and Canada.” This also pleased many of our Inside Sales Team members because it gave them a chance meet many of their customers which was beneficial in the sense that they were now able to put a face to the voices they speak with over the phone. This in turn gave them the chance to better connect with their customers.
Those who attended got the chance to see our beautiful new facility, which sits on 9 acres of land, with 9 more acres in Teadit’s possession for future growth. The facility is a whopping 110,000 square feet which gives Teadit capabilities such as Cut Gasket Fabrication, Metallic Gasket Fabrication, Specialized Inventory Support, Packing Ring Fabrication, Effective Distribution Alignment, Technical-Field and Product Support and 24 Hour Service to best serve the customer. Tours of this facility along with the machines that make these capabilities possible ran every 20 minutes at the Open House. Guests could also enjoy F.A.D.U. (Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit) training given by our engineering department. Customers and potential clients also had the chance to meet our Gasket Guru, or more formally known as Teadit’s Engineering Director, José C. Veiga, author of the newly released 6th edition Industrial Gasket book. Another Teadit celebrity present at the Open House was Teadit CEO/Owner Marcello Cattaneo Adorno.
We understand that not everyone finds Gaskets, Sealing and or Packing solutions as fun or interesting as we do, so we also provided plenty of other fun activities, as well as a delicious spread of food laid out by a local caterer, for our guests to enjoy. Some may know that the retention pond catty-corner to Teadit is home to a wild alligator, we of course named him/her Teddy. Keeping with this exotic animal theme we had an animal trainer come and bring a couple of animals such as another alligator, more docile for human interaction, and large snakes. For those who may not like the idea of holding an alligator or wearing a snake as a scarf, we also had a DJ playing music for everyone to enjoy and Karaoke for guests to sing their own music.

Our guests came, they ate, they participated in fun activities, and a few lucky raffle winners left with prizes that were given out. Teadit gifted two TV’s, two sets of Beats by Dre Headphones, four gift cards totaling $700, and one football autographed by NFL star quarterback, Roger Staubach. One guest that attended, Amanda Heck told us “I found the open house to be really interesting because where I work they don’t do anything like that for their employees. I can see that Teadit really cares, not only about their customers, but the people who are helping to make the company successful. I would say this type of family atmosphere is probably what most employees in the workforce would hope for.”
This was definitely the reaction we were hoping for. We enjoyed sharing our new home with our guests and customers and look forward to growing together as a company and in our business.
